Drunken Oaths are never a good idea - WHFRP 3rd Ed
Matt Session 23
Day X – X
We trend to Nathaniel and the damsels help. Well, kind off. These Damsels seem pretty crap if I don’t mind me saying so. Nathaniel is in and out of consciousness so I go out to the fields and commune with Rhya. I find a necklace of thorns and keep it on my person.
Nathaniel awakens and I talk to him about the necklace. He puts it on and the thorns dig into his flesh. Moments pass and then the thing falls off. Nathaniel explains he could have gotten his hand back but it would have meant he would have needed to become a warrior of Rhya. I’m personally he made the right choice, but, it is up to him.
The Grail Knight comes and talks to Nathaniel, I follow at a discrete distance.
The day of the trial is relatively uneventful considering what I was expecting. Nathaniel asks that before the trial start the new Lord (apparently the group killed the old one while I was in prison) put the ring on the blessed blade Nathaniel carries. The Lord complies and nothing seems to happen. Then the Lord tries to remove the ring except it is stuck on the blade. It has fused with the sword! taking this as a sign, we are sent on a quest to slay a Dragon Ogre. If we succeed, we are virtuous, if we die, the lord’s problem is solved. (I can tell this lord isn’t happy with losing his evil ring). We leave the castle with a plan to go to Aquitaine.
